Too much fun to list here, but we’ll try:
Thursday August 16:
All boats make their way to Two Harbors arriving by early afternoon.
5:00 pm – Meet and Greet – Meet at the back patio at the Harbor Reef Restaurant for Pu Pu’s and a no host bar.
9:00 am – 3B’s… Breakfast, Bloodys and Boat Talk – Meet in the social room at Isthmus Yacht Club (large red lodge building up the road from Two Harbors) for breakfast and Bloody Marys. There will be speakers giving talks about various cruising and sailing topics. Mandatory skipper’s meeting to follow.
Free time to explore the Isthmus. Hiking, bike riding, inland jeep tours, tours of the IYC club house, fishing or just enjoying the island.
Friday Evening, August 17:
5pm – ? Dinner on the Beach at Two Harbors.
Dinner on the beach at the main bandstand (next to the market). 3D’s…Dinner, Drinks and Dancing. Get your Reggae groove on and sway under the palms. Jerk Chicken and other caribbean favorites will (might) be on the menu, along with Prizes for best Jamaican costumes and more shenanigans.
9:00 am – Race Around the Island
All boats leave their moorings by 9 am and make their way west to Parsons Landing for an 11:00 am race start to sail around Catalina to Cat Harbor where we will all raft up in the mooring field.
5:00 pm – Group Photo Shoot
5:30 pm – Wandering boat visits for drinks and appetizers. Prizes will be awarded for the best theme decorations and appetizers. Music on Barramundi.
All boats depart moorings and continue around the back side of Catalina arriving in Avalon where we will pick up a mooring and spend the afternoon exploring Avalon and have a no host group dinner at a TBD restaurant.
