This is a riotous pair of point-to-point races, with a raft up party in between. Not to be missed.
Saturday: Start from the entrance to SD bay and sail to Mission Bay where boats will anchor in Mariners. The raft-up party on Saturday evening is possibly the best sailing event in San Diego and sponsored by Solare Resturant. There will be food, drink and entertainment on the sands of Mission Bay (Yes, they have a permit).
Sunday: Return sail from Mission bay to SD Bay
How:
Fill out WCM racing application, a simple one-page form;
Pay annual fee of $100; this fee will provide you with an official PHRF Certificate, membership to Cortez Racing Association, and official sail numbers (which are not needed on actual sails for this and many other races).
Prepare yourself, crew and boat, show up and have fun!
Who:
This Event is hosted by Cortez Racing Association organized event, CRA is San Diego’s premier fun racing club. Once you have your PHRF rating, signup for the race is free and easy at the CRA website.
West Coast Multihulls featured event: this will be one of the highlights for the year on the WCM calendar. The Corsair Trimaran fleet will be attending in full force and even more exciting this will mark the debut of the WCM Cruising Cat fleet in PHRF San Diego!
